27th of November,2020 Shiksha Niketan Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar celebrated 551^ST  birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji with great zeal and enthusiasm. All the staff members of Shiksha Niketan family were present on the pious occasion. The programme begin with lightning the Diyas on the eve of Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.

Mrs.Harbans Kour hosted the programme. Mrs.Seetender Kour and Miss. Avneet Kour put light on the teachings of 1st Guru who devoted his whole life for the betterment  of mankind. Staff members recited the paath of Shri ‘Jap ji’ Sahib and ‘Choupai’ Sahib. Shabad Kirtan was also recited by the staff members. Principal sir, Shri Rameshwar Mengi ji conveyed his good wishes and congratulated all present on the occasion of Parkash Utsav. Parshad was also distributed in the end. Whole function was organised keeping in view social distancing due to pandemic.
