District Youth Services and Sports Office conducted Taekwondo Inter Zonal District Level Competition for (Boys & Girls) U-14, U-17 and U-19 years. Three Girls of Shiksha Niketan High School Participated in this Championship. Ms. Yasmeen Hanief and Ms. Samiksha Chaudhary takes part in U-17 and Ms. Yashika Sharma Participated in U-14 where Ms. Yasmeen Hanief won Gold Medal and Selected for upcoming State Championship. Ms. Samiksha Chaudhary and Ms. Yashika won Bronze Medal. Mr. Sumit Kumar was the Coach of the students. The management of Shiksha Niketan extends their gratitude towards District Youth Services and Sports for providing the students of Shiksha Niketan this opportunity of exposure. Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu showcased their exceptional skills and determination at the District Jammu Pencak Silat Championship 2023 held at Indoor Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu from Sep 15th to 16th.
This two-day District Championship event was organised by District Jammu Pencak Silat Association in collaboration with the Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The championship witnessed the participation of various schools across Jammu. Among which Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar outshined and made their mark in the championship by securing astonishing medals. Out of 45 students from the school. They bagged total 11 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 bronze.
Gold medallist students are Ankush Thakur, Sayam Dogra, Kushraj, Jeevanjot Singh, Revant Raina, Parth Thakur, Anuj Sharma, Mantej Singh, Pratham Singh, Irfan Ali, and Manhar Jasrotia. Silver Medal was bagged by students namely, Aman Surmal, Aman Sharma, Daksh Mehra, Hussain Ali, Advik Bassi and Zehan Ali. Bronze medallists are Tarnveer Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Yaman Sahu, Pranav Thakur, Trishiv Sangha and Tarun Singh. They all are trained under the supervision of their Sports Teacher Mr Sumit. The best performers of the event are selected for the forthcoming state and National level Championships.
Worthy Director of the school Mr. Risheek Mengi Ji expressed his happiness and pride in the achievements of the school's students saying that school is determined to provide its students more such opportunities so that they can explore more in the field of sports. At last worthy Director congratulated all the students and also encouraged them for more participation next year.
Shiksha Niketan High School celebrated Teacher's Day & Shri Krishan Janamashtmi
Shiksha Niketan High School celebrated Teacher's Day, birth anniversary of Sarvapalli Radhakrishna & Shri Krishan Janamashtmi an annual commemoration of birth of the Hindu deity Krishna, the eighteenth avatar of Vishnu on 5th of September. The school was well decorated for the celebration and Aarti & Bhajans were recited. A puja was performed by the Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji & other dignitaries. The program began with breaking of Dahi Handi. A Cultural Programme was performed related to these two occassions.
Sh. Ajay kumar M. D of Bharat Vikas Parishad & Ms. Balpreet kour advocate of High Court Jammu, ex student of Shiksha Niketan were the Guest of Honor.
Students of pre-primary came dressed as Lord Krishna & Radha. A tribute was paid to Sarvapalli Radhakrishna. The management distributed token of lobe to the teachers & menial staff also. Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi Ji while addressing the students spoke about the importance of the day. He also gave best wishes to the staff & the students on this day.

A Cultural Programme on the eve of Raksha Bandhan and National Sports Day was celebrated in the premises of Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar Jammu on 29 of August 2023. In this Programme Army Personnel’s were invited. The Student of Primary wing tied Rakhis on their wrists. Few cultural items related to Raksha Bandhan and National Sports Day were performed. Games were also played by students of Primary wing. Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi and Director Sh. Risheek Mengi give his best wishes on the Occasions and also informed them about the Significance of the Raksha Bandhan.

A Kick Boxing advance Training Program Organized by Kick Boxing Association J&K On at R.M Public School Chowadhi. Danish Padhe and his team from International Referee (WAKO) State Technical Director trained the Students under the Supervision of Sudarshan Singh HOD sports.
Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar participated in this advance training program, Mr. Sumit Kumar and Ms. Priya accompanied the students. The students who participated in the competition were awarded with certificates at the end of the training program.

SHIKSHA NIKETAN SCHOOL, GANDHI NAGAR, JAMMU CONTINUES IT’S SUPREMACY IN 10th CLASS BOARD RESULT (Annual Regular- 2023)
SHIKSHA NIKETAN SCHOOL, JAMMU continued its supremacy in the recently declared 10th class board result by JKBOSE J&K UT for the session 2022-23.
Mr Sumit Bhagat S/o Sh Balwant Singh & Smt Anupa Rani. Mr Dheeraj Singh S/o Sh Ajeet Singh & Smt Asha Devi both of them secured 490 marks out of 500. Ms Pavani Gupta D/o Sh Sanjay Gupta & Smt Sonu secured 488 marks out of 500. Mr Ishan Banotra S/o Sh Vijay Kumar Sharma & Smt Anuradha secured 484 marks out of 500. Mr Samrat Bral S/o Sh Jagdish Lal & Smt Jyoti Sharma got 476 marks out of 500. Total 47 students appeared in 10th class board examination this year. Out of which 7 students secured 90% and above, 22 students secured 80% and above & 18 students secured 70% and above. The overall result of session 2022-2023 is 100%.
The Principal of the school Sh RAMESHWAR MENGI congratulated all the students and their parents for their success. He also hailed the effort of incharges and teachers for working hard to achieve such a glorious result. He also congratulated all the students of Jammu and Kashmir for their success and encouraged those who were not able to qualify. On 14th of May 2023 Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar paid tribute to their founder Principal Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi Ji on his 40th death anniversary as a Shanti Diwas. Director Sh. Risheek Mengi enlightened the lamp & offered garland to his grandfather. After that Shanti Path was recited by Mrs. Kiran Gupta in (Ex Incharge of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar) & all the staff Members were also present on the Occasion.

On 13th of May 2023 Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar Celebrated 113th birth anniversary of their founder Principal Late Sh. Dev Dutt Mengi Ji in a very simple and religious way due to sad demise of Smt. Pushpa Mengi Ji. Firstly students of different classes recite bhajans. Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi addressed the students. He told students about the value of relations and family in our day to day life. Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi along with Director Mr. Risheek Mengi Distributed Ice creams among the students.
Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar Participated in Saksham “Fuel Conservation Campaign” Jammu, 8 May 2023
Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar outshines and begged Trophies under Saksham Campaign 2023 launched by Ministry of Petroleum and natural Gas for Fuel conservation with association of Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA).
The events begun with the interaction of all students of different schools present on the occasion. They enthusiastically participated and share their views regarding judicious use of petroleum products to achieve the two main objectives of keeping health and environment safe and also saving the energy for future generations.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Ms. Rifat Kohli (JKAS) ( Director FCS & CA, Jammu) encouraged and felicitated the students with certificates and trophies who participated in Debate, Slogan making, Painting Competition on the theme “Save Fuel”.
Ms. Samanvi and Master Varun of class 6th begged “1st Position” in Drawing Competition.
Master Himanshu Baitha of class 7th begged “1st Position” for Slogan Writing.
Master Harshit Mahajan of class 8th begged “1st Position” in Essay Writing.
Ms. Ridhima Gupta of class 10th begged “1st Position” in Debate Competition.
Other Dignitaries Prathana Sharma (Manager HPCL) Sandeep Kumar and Anjani Kumar (Divisional Commissioner Sales and Retail, Sub Head IOCL of UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh) administrated the Oath and Pledge to conserve gas and oil. The other dignitaries further elucidated the importance of various kinds of fuel and also encouraged students to adopt
nature friendly measures to preserve it.

Shiksha Niketan High School scored 2nd position in Jammu District.
The Students of Shiksha Niketan High school Gandhi Nagar have given excellent Result in the 8th class Examination conducted by DIET.
In the Academic Session 2022-23, 51 Students were appeared in the Examination. Out of which Miss Shakshi Gupta D/o of Sh. Shiv Kumar Gupta and Smt. Sujata Gupta got 199 marks out of 200 whereas Miss Preeti Devi D/o Sh. Ramesh Lal and Smt. Suman Devi, Master Garwish Singh S/o Sh. Mohinder Singh & Smt. Anjana Kumari & Master Manjot Singh S/o Sh. Ravinder Singh & Smt. Ramandeep Kour scored 9th position with 192 marks out of 200. Miss Suhani Rajput S/o Sh. Sanjeev Singh & Smt. Kiran Devi, Miss Shavi Sharma D/o Sh. Pankaj Sharma & Smt. Nini Sharma, Miss Aditi Kumari D/o Sh. Gain Chand & Smt. Anju, Miss Tejasvi Khajuria D/o Sh. Tej Ram Sharma & Smt. Rajni Sharma scored 98% percent marks.
Moreover 29 students scored A1 Grade, 9 students scored A Grade, and 11 students scored B1 Grade and 2 students B Grade.

Kanya Poojan
On March 29, 2023 Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar, Jammu performed Kanya Poojan on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami which marks the ninth day of Navratri. Principal Sh. Rameshwar Mengi along with Director Risheek Mengi offered prayers to Goddess Siddidatri, the ninth avatar of Goddess Durga in the School premises. Principal Shri Rameshwar Mengi also honored nine little girls symbolising the nine avatars of Maa Durga. Mr. Akhil was also invited for a small Satsang. Principal Shri Rameshwar Mengi also prayed to mother Siddidatri for the happiness and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
DECLARATION OF ANNUAL RESULT
Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar declared its annual result today i.e. 27-03-2023. Respected class teachers of each class gave away the report cards to the parents along with their ward and also discussed the overall result of their ward with them. The position holder’s students of all classes were awarded with cheques and gifts for their excellent efforts for the whole session. Worthy principal sir Sh. Rameshwar Mengi and Director Sir Risheek Mengi congratulated the parents on their wards achievement and for their cooperation.

CELEBRATION OF FOUNDATION WEEK
Shiksha Niketan School Gandhi Nagar celebrated 54th foundation day with great verve and enthusiasm.A week long programme was organised by the staff members of shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar on 31st of January and 1st February. These days were celebrated by Pushp Vatika and Primary Wing.The guests of these days were Sh..Rampal Ex.Security Guard and Smt. Krishna Devi Ex. Menial staff member. The day of 2nd February and 3rd February were celebrated by Middle Wing and High Wing .The guests of these days were Smt. Sushma Sharma and Smt.Suman Sharma Ex. Staff members. On 3rd of february registration for the Session 2022-23 was opened, that was started with Kanjakpujan done by worthy principal sir Sh. Rameshwar mengi ji and Director of Pushp vatika Mr.Rasheek Mengi ji . The function started with lamp lightning . A beautiful cultural programme was presented by different Wings by the students through online mode. Bouquet were presented to worthy principal sir Sh.Rameshwar Mengi ji and all the guests. Lectures were delivered by worthy principal sir and invited guests.
The whole programme was organized keeping in view covid-19 protocol.
